Naiara is an iPhone and Android app that brings together a network of 54 specialized artificial intelligence agents. Each one masters a single discipline — nutrition, car mechanics, style, personal finance, training, emotional wellbeing — and answers with the judgment of someone who has spent years in it.

It is not one assistant wearing 54 costumes. When a question straddles two fields, the agent who takes it consults the one who knows behind the scenes and hands you a single answer with both judgments already built in. You talk to one; as many as needed work behind them.

It understands text, voice and images: show it the wine list, your open wardrobe or the warning light on the dashboard and it works from there.

A generalist assistant knows a little about everything, and it shows in the average answer: the one that is never quite wrong and never quite enough to decide anything.

A specialist does the opposite. It asks what it needs to know, rules things out, commits to an opinion and tells you what you would do if you knew the field. It also knows when to stop: a health agent that sends you to a doctor is worth more than one that has a go at everything.

That is the bet of the house: 54 sharp judgments instead of one generic one.

Naiara has been written in Spanish since day one, from Eivissa, for the five hundred million people who think in that language. It is not an American app run through a translator: the agents know the local context — what people eat, what things cost, how a garage or a clinic actually works — because they were built from the inside.

The English version exists and is looked after, but it came later.
