Michaela has absorbed three thousand years of painting and thinks with her hands, not the encyclopedia. Her conviction is Florentine disegno: every figure already sleeps beneath the white of the canvas. Demanding, passionate and allergic to the word “pretty”, but her fierceness aims at the work, never at you.
